SBM Offshore has developed the Sustainability Matrix in order to give a clear and compact overview of the internal rules and policies, which reflect the attitude towards socially and environmentally responsible business.
Rather then enumerating a series of good intentions declarations, the responsibilities of each department of the company towards our Customers, Capital Providers, Employees, Suppliers, Society and Environment, are listed, explained and backed up with the corresponding internal rule. SBM Offshore is committed to these rules and makes a continuous effort to maintain and improve them.
Please note that any reference made to the "Company" in the Matrix means either the Corporation, i.e. SBM Offshore (or former IHC Caland) or any of the operating units or affiliated companies as may be applicable.
To easily make use of the matrix please proceed as follows:
- There are 6 columns defining the company's responsibilities towards the different stakeholders. A click on the top of the column gives access to the definition of the responsibilities towards each stakeholder according to the "Code of conduct" of the company.
- There are 9 lines representing the nine main departments of the Group.
- Clicking at the crossing of a department line and a stakeholder column will display the rules, which this department follows to comply with its responsibility towards the stakeholder.
Note: Certain boxes expand to a level where the reference to the company's internal rules and policy is displayed. These rules and policy can be made available for consultation on a case-by-case basis.
