As early as 1972, SBM has been involved in FSOs/FPSOs when it provided the first
system to permanently moor a tanker based Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO)
system.
Today, the company possesses within its own organization, the resources and experience
to deliver turnkey “Life of the Field FPSOs/FSOs” for a worldwide range of applications
on sale or lease/operate basis. The company is presently extending its capabilities
to large and complex FPSOs with high specifications including drilling capabilities,
allowing drilling and production from the same facility, dry trees and BOP, processing
gas plant treatment and export facilities.
